Golf Fitness Equipment to Put Into Your Golf Workout

You are practicing on your game but you want to hit the driver farther and straighter. A good teaching professional could help you but you do not want to spend all of that money. Golf fitness equipment may be the answer for you. Many times the students we teach are not flexible enough to reach the correct golf swing positions. This is where we have to improvise as teachers and players. With this in mind, it is easier to make one lever move the same direction every single time as opposed to two levers.

The golf fitness equipment that you need may be as simple as an exercise mat. With an exercise mat, you will be able to improve your flexibility by doing golf-specific stretching exercises. There are many golf fitness books that spell out a golf flexibility program for you. Whatever you do, before you start a rigorous golf workout or golf stretching program, be sure to consult your physician for approval.

So, what should an ideal golf fitness flexibility program consist of and what types of golf fitness equipment should it include?

Your golf fitness program should have many variations such as a long version for regular training days and a short version for Pre-Round Stretching. A variety of golf fitness equipment will help keep you interested in your workout. A few variations with the large exercise ball should also be included. Using the golf exercise ball during your golf specific workout is extremely important for the golfer as it allows you to work out your core muscles. Your pre-round stretching routine you can do even with a couple of stretches with a couple of golf clubs to do just before tee-off and between holes if necessary.

Your stretching and workout program should be thorough. The program should address your head and neck and go all of the way down to the feet. Why is this? The reason is because the golf swing is a movement of the entire body.

Your program must be symmetrical for your body. This simply means that what you workout or stretch or workout out on one side of your body, you also need to do the same on the other side. This is the true key to maintaining optimal muscle, tendon and joint balance on both sides of your body. This allows for enhanced golf swing power without a large increase in swing effort. In addition and more importantly, you will keep your body equal on both sides.

The program must include several key compound stretches. Compound stretches elongate several joint areas at the same time which will mimic natural movement patterns. This also allows the golfer to be more accurate through enhanced fitness flexibility, body awareness and control.

You should feel good afterward. This type of stretch routine or golf specific workout using golf fitness equipment should make you feel as if your posture is immediately better and you should feel stronger. You should almost feel like you could rip the cover off a ball if you were to hit one right after your golf fitness stretch routine.

Golf fitness equipment for your workout can vary depending on what you are attempting to improve. Many successful golf workout programs use golf fitness equipment such as free weights, weighted practice clubs, resistance cords, medicine balls and an exercise mat.

The Best Body Building Supplement

How can you define which body building supplement is the best? After all, there are so many different brands and types that you can use to enhance your body building workouts that finding the best one can be quite confusing.

When we say the word “best”, we should be talking about which body building supplement will give you the best results.

Most expert body builders agree that the most effective body building supplement that you can put into your body is protein.

Protein helps bring all the necessary muscle building enzymes to where they need to be. Protein can also boost your energy level and allow for more intense workouts.

Whey protein could be one of the best protein supplements you can implement into your workout program. It’s all natural and can give the best results when it’s taken in the right doses and the right amounts.

You could also choose creatine for a body building supplement. Creatine also helps combat fatigue and allows for better workouts.

Creatine is naturally produced in your body, so taking a creatine supplement in your body building routine can bring about the best results.

When you are lifting weights in your body building workout, your muscles are under a certain amount of stress.

The body produces nitric oxide to combat this stress. If you have a particularly stressful workout, you’ll need to replenish that enzyme with a body building supplement.

Nitric oxide can also have some great side effects with sexual health, so if you think this is the best body building supplement for you, by all means, choose it.

Glutamine is another body building supplement that is considered one of the best for the maximum results. Glutamine works to bring muscle building nutrients to the muscles so that they can grow bigger and become more toned.

Choosing the best body building supplement has to be a personal decision. Keep in mind your goals and then pick the supplement that will help you achieve those goals.

Each specific supplement provides for certain results, so picking the right one will make the difference between having an effective workout as opposed to an ineffective workout.

Research different brands and pick a company that has proven results. There are many companies who claim to have effective products when they are really just providing supplements that don’t do anything at all.

Read different reviews of specific products and then make the right choice for you. Picking the best body building supplement can truly enhance your workout regimen and contribute to a beautiful body as an end result.

Why A Home Gym?

Thinking about a home gym? It may be one of the few life luxuries that’s actually good for you – an investment in your well-being, and in your quality of life, too.

With a home gym certain things begin to fall into place, beginning with your schedule, because now you can work out whenever you want. For example?

Have a 4 a.m. plane to catch and won’t be able to fit in another workout for a week? Don’t sweat it. Just walk a few rooms over and you’ve got it covered.

Have only fifteen minutes to work out and not a single second to spare? Your home gym is there at the ready – with no one else EVER (besides possibly your spouse or kids) ahead of you on your favorite fitness machine.

So with a home gym there’s terrific convenience, while you’re also creating exercise on your own time and on your own terms. What else?

You eliminate having to drive back and forth to the health club, saving time, effort, and aggravation.

You’ll never be intimidated by a gym full of strangers.

And the fact is- the remarkable convenience of a home gym may make you just that much more motivated. Which, as we all know, is the absolute key to an effective workout program.

A home gym isn’t just pure convenience, either. It’s an investment. When you buy a piece of fitness equipment for your home gym- quality equipment- it may contribute to your fitness and well-being for years. Possibly for decades.

What about the two of the biggest concerns about home gyms and home gym equipment? Say, cost and space?

Let’s just say that home gym equipment doesn’t need to be expensive or space-hogging. Simple, low-cost, compact home gym equipment is widely available and can be a great way to start any home gym. If space is a major issue, a balance ball can be a great way to start. Balance balls are small, portable and can be used for numerous exercises, including stretching, abdominal workouts, balance-building and all-body toning. Prices for basic balance balls begin at $20-$30 and usually include a pump and instruction manual or DVD.

Other starter-type home gym equipment? Look at step benches, which can be used in many types of home workout plans, a simple but solidly built barbell set, or possibly a compact treadmill (though compact treadmills are unlikely to be as full-featured or as easy to use as their larger, beefier treadmill counterparts). For extreme space demands, consider rubber exercise bands, or an ultra portable fold-up treadmill.

Will simple, inexpensive exercise equipment be enough to give you a rock-solid workout? The answer is an unequivocal- maybe. For the experienced exerciser or athlete, the most basic home gym equipment may not provide the challenge that fuller-featured, more robust home gym equipment can, but it can be a nice way to start, especially if space, commitment or budget are limiting factors.

But if a gym in your own home really is one of life’s healthiest luxuries, even a little home gym equipment will be a luxury worth having.

Nutritional Supplements For The P90X Program

I get asked all the time about supplements and nutrition for the wildly popular P90X workout program.  This is an intense workout routine, so nutritional supplementation can definitely benefit people on the P90X program; however, recommending one supplement is hard.  First, the end goal of the person training has to be considered.  Are you trying to lose weight, shred up your muscles, or just last the entire duration of the workout with fatiguing?  An additional consideration is your current diet: how clean is your diet, what quantities are you consuming, how many meals and snacks are you consuming?  Some essential vitamins and minerals might already be in your current diet.  Consuming more than your body can metabolize is not going to benefit you.

Okay, we’ve all been in a vitamin store and the selection at some of these stores can be mind numbing.  I, personally, gravitate to the sports performance section where the more manly products are found.  These products have muscled up gorillas on them and half of them contain huge doses of stimulants, which can greatly impact your energy level but they speed up your heart and can cause energy crashes.  P90X is a program designed for lean muscle; thus, the typical body building vitamins aren’t necessarily designed for this type of training.  Picture a body builders program; low sets, breaks in between, lots of weight. These guys transform their bodies, but most of the guys on the label and ads are on heavy doses of steroids.  Supplement companies marking to this demographic usually take ‘more is better’ approach and load these supplements up with excess ingredients to bulk of their labels – not the person using their product. Again, your body will pass anything that it can’t metabolize.

I have noticed great success from men using MMA specific supplement brands, which are designed for Mixed Martial Arts fighters.  Reason being, most fighters do similar training programs to P90X that involve cardio, resistance, and plyometric training in one continuous session.  These supplements can help increase muscle mass and endurance while helping maintain strength and flexibility.

Next is the vitamin area, which has a lot of good offerings to choose from.  I would go with a good multi-vitamin, an omega-3 product, and a joint complex to round out the stack.  The joint complex should contain ingredients like glucosamine and chondroitin, which help protect joints from wear and tear. The omega-3 capsules are known as the “good fat”. Omega-3s greatly benefit fat loss, skins, and hair health.  The male or female multi-vitamin should have a good dose of all the daily minimums for the basic vitamins.

The proper supplementation program can help you reduce recovery time, balance glycemic levels, volumize blood flow, aid in fat loss, and help build lean muscle.  Sticking with the basics, most of which can be found at the local drug store, will greatly impact your results with P90X.  Don’t forget to eat healthy foods and keep a daily journal to help track your diet and progress. Best of luck with P90X!

Body Building Supplements

If you are serious about body building, you will want to consider adding a body building supplement to your nutritional program. Supplements are sort of like vitamins. They add to what you are already doing when eating right for body building and provide you with more of what your body needs to grow muscle.

You have many choices when it comes to body building supplements. There are hundreds of brands on the market, and the choice is up to you which one you want to use. They are all essentially the same, but some companies are more trustworthy than others. Pick a company that is well known and well-respected who has proven results.

As for what types of supplements you should use, there are basically four different ones that can help you in your workout program. These include:

* Protein powders

* Creatine

* Glutamine

* Nitric Oxide

Each has its own distinct advantages depending on what you are trying to achieve in your body building program. Protein helps build strong muscle, creatine combats fatigue allowing for longer, more effective workouts, glutamine helps combat the stress you are putting your body under during a workout, and nitric oxide increases the flow of muscle building agents to skeletal muscle.

Another supplement many body builders use should be avoided. In order to grow quickly, some body builders will resort to the use of synthetic steroids and growth hormones. However, these body building supplements can have damaging side effects. Many of these substances are illegal, and if you are competing in body building competitions, you will be disqualified if they are found in your system.

Body building supplements are generally considered safe to use for most people. If you are considering using a supplement, you should check with a doctor first. If you have any underlying conditions, the doctor will be able to tell you if using a specific supplement can help or ultimately hurt you.

Supplements in a body building program are just part of the sports. You probably won’t find a serious body builder who doesn’t use them. But be sure to use those that are legal and safe to use. If they aren’t, you may find you are hurting yourself rather than helping.

Body building supplements can be great tools to help you grow muscles and enhance your workouts. It’s possible to get by without them, but they can really add to your workouts and help you achieve your body building goals. Choose your supplements wisely, and use them regularly. Then keep up with your body building routine and realize great results!
