Body Fitness and Health Tips

Not long ago, going to get a body building supplement meant getting ready, grabbing the car keys, and driving across town to an anonymous strip mall filled with donut shops and industrial shoe stores. Asking the sales clerk for advice wasn’t much easier. Often, they were either die-hard lifters who couldn’t really relate to their smaller lifting cousins. Or, even worse, many were young teenagers more interested in seeing just how high the store speaker system could go before “blowing” out. Luckily, times have changed.

In 1867, when a man named Eugen Sandow (”The Father of Modern Body Building”) first launched body building, it served as merely a way for photographers to show off their new technology by snapping pictures of unique, chiseled forms. Sandow, and others like him, built their bodies to look like Greek statues and posed to define their sculpted physiques. From there, bodybuilding morphed into a small sport compromised of serious competitors and growing physiques.

Some men even toured as sort of a “freak show,” posing and performing for circuses and fairs. However, the most famous-and best-body builders went on years later to show their hard-earned bodies at up-and-coming competitions such as “Mr. Olympia” and Mr. Universe.” These men lifted for the sheer joy of lifting and never dreamed that their solitary sport would one day become an American pastime. Nor could they ever have envisioned a body building supplement in the form of pills, shakes, drinks, or bars. Their supplements consisted of raw eggs and huge slabs of steak, not high-powders and easy-to-swallow tablets.

Once thought of as a sport simply for iron-willed men, body building has become a blossoming pastime for the elderly, teenagers, sports players, and even pregnant women. The benefits of building muscle to aid in resisting bone loss and burning fat have become widely known. Coaches everywhere understand that strength in the gym translates into strength on the field. Doctors know that a strong, healthy body equals a long, healthy, and happy life. Using the right body building supplement makes reaping these benefits easier than ever before.

Today, people from all walks of life use body building to feel better, look better, and have fun. Bodybuilding isn’t just about carnival shows, old photographs, or competitions anymore. It also isn’t a relic of the past, it’s a pastime. Its benefits are recognized for superior sports performance, better health, and increased self-esteem. Without a doubt, Eugen Sandow could never have envisioned a time when bodybuilding would be such a widespread activity.

Now, finding the perfect body building supplement is as easy as turning on a computer and clicking a mouse. No longer are bodybuilders forced to chug glasses of raw eggs or shop in abandoned strip malls. They have stepped through the door of the past into a bright future. Make sure to visit http://www.fitness-supplement.com for a wide array of effective and below list price supplements to see just how far bodybuilding has come.

Body building has become a passion among a lot of people, both men and women, and people have realized the importance of having a good physique. Body building exercise plays the most important role in helping you get a well built body. Everything starts with physical work out and nothing helps you more than a well planned exercise schedule to build muscles.

In order to achieve the right results, you need to make sure that you exercise regularly and have proper diet along with that. You have to understand one thing which is very important and that is the regularity of the exercise schedule. A lot of people seem to take decision themselves and exercise as they wish without a proper schedule and guidance. This can result in two things. First, it could hamper your muscles and damage your body if done the wrong way and second, you will not achieve the kind of results you want to achieve with your muscles. This is the reason as to why having a trainer is considered very important as far as body building exercise is concerned. A body building trainer is a professional and with his experience and knowledge in the field of body building, he should be able to guide you the right way regarding all the aspects of body building exercise and other things related to that.

You need to understand your body well in order to make sure you exercise the right way. The kind of weights you can lift, the kind of exercises you can do initially, the kind of exercise routine you can have once you feel comfortable, the kind of food you should take, the kind of rest you should give your body, and many more things will be very important in getting the results you want. This is where a trainer could be of great help.

He can help you understand your body better and help you achieve the results by working with you in close quarters. It is generally not advised to start exercising without proper guidance as you may harm your body or may not get the results that you want from it. Either way, it is not the right thing to do as you could do the wrong exercise at the wrong time with the wrong diet, which could result in undesired results.

Steroids for Body Building

There’s no doubt about it – if you are serious about body building and making your body huge is a priority, steroids can help you do it quickly.  It’s a proven fact.  Synthetic hormones will help you grow muscle quickly and make your muscles look beautiful in the process.  The reality is that although steroids will help you build an amazing body, they can do more harm than good.

The simple truth is that steroids, although the will build body mass, will harm your body more than it will help it.  What will steroids do to you?  Consider the following:

* Steroids lower sperm count making the possibility of having a child lower

* Steroids will make you more aggressive

* Steroids will cause you to become sterile — eventually

* Steroids will bring you problems that you never wanted to have

Basically, if you choose to use steroids, do so at your own risk.  There are way more bad things that can happen from steroid use than good things.  It’s true, they will help you build your body to new proportions, but at what cost?

For females, do you want to walk, talk, and look like a man?  If so, go ahead and take steroids as part of your body building routine.  But we will never condone steroid use in any way.  The downfalls very much outweigh the advantages.

Not only do steroids cause serious health problems, they actually make the anabolic environment less conducive to serious muscle building.  The actually true way towards serious muscle building involves natural methods as opposed to synthetic methods.  When you focus on your diet to give you the nutrients you need to make well-toned muscles, you will be way better off than if you resort to the “easy way out”.

When you use steroids to build muscle mass, you are not only endangering your health, but you are also endangering your muscles.  When they get used to synthetic hormones, they will expect to have that type of enhancement all of the time.  But the long-ranging implications of steroid use completely outweigh the problems that will occur.

In general, you should focus on natural body building as opposed to working your muscles with the use of steroids. You will not only be a healthier person, but you will also be able to know that you have made a beautiful body without the use of steroids in your body building program.

Lou Ferigno – Legacy Of Body Building

There are very few true legends in body building and Lou Ferigno is certainly one of them. In the 70s, he was a real rags to riches tale as he escalated from a humble background to worldwide fame in body building and to even more fame in his acting in the classic TV series THE INCREDIBLE HULK as the green monster. Most people may be aware of Fergino and his work. But not many know his background and this may prove very interesting even to the people who don’t follow body building.

Early Years

Lou was born deaf in Brooklyn, a suburb of New York, United States in the 1950’s. Lou became a little withdrawn and isolated because the attitude towards deaf people weren’t really progressive at that time. He started weightlifting as a hobby in his teens and became obsessed with it. He worked out everyday and watched his diet religiously. He set his sight on competing in many amateur competitions for body building. He entered and performed so well in them that he caught the eye of Joe Weider, the body building mogul. Joe brought Lou to professional body building competitions. Though Lou did really well his new profession, he divided his time between it and working in a construction company as it paid him far more than what professional body building did! Lou became featured in PUMPING IRON, a classic documentary, a documentary which brought him the attention of many a Hollywood producer.

The Hulk

During the initial days of shooting for HULK, former James Bond movie villain Richard “Jaws” Kiel bombed and Ferigno was called to play the leading role of the green goliath. Very few believed that the series would turn into a really suberb hit. But it became a colossal hit and lasted lots of years on network and cable TV and decades together in syndication. Ferigno was a bona-fide star worldwide!

Ferigno is well into retirement and doesn’t compete in body building competitions these days. He however, appears at numerous body building competitions as a judge and as a special guest. He also signs many autographs at various comic conventions and keeps in touch with almost all of his fans who have eagerly followed his career throughout the years. Speaking in terms of history of pop culture, Lou Ferigno is surely one of a kind and a true icon!
